Chimaev, 31, who seized the throne from Dricus du Plessis last August, enters the Octagon with a flawless 15-0 record. In contrast, the 35-year-old Strickland arrives with the momentum of a dominant victory over Anthony Hernandez, though his career has been marked by both championship glory and seven hard-fought losses.

The bout is expected to be one of the most volatile promotional cycles in recent memory. Strickland, an American known for his unfiltered and often inflammatory rhetoric, has frequently targeted Chimaev’s faith and background.
